Accessibility statement for drug-labels.com

Dasonele a.s., which runs this website, wants everyone to be able to use drug-labels.com, including people who use a screen reader, only a keyboard or larger text. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard used by Canadian accessibility laws such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Accessible Canada Act. Those laws do not apply to this website; we follow the guidelines voluntarily.

Compliance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. The limitations are listed below.

What is not accessible yet

  • The texts of the patient medication information and product monographs. We take them from the documents published by Health Canada and convert them into web pages automatically. Their headings, lists and tables may therefore not have the right structure for screen readers.
  • Third-party advertisements (Google AdSense) - we cannot control their content or how they work.
  • Websites we link to, for example those of Health Canada. Links to them open in a new window without a special warning.

What we do for accessibility

  • The whole website can be used with a keyboard, the focused element is highlighted and the first Tab key press offers a link that skips to the content.
  • The text follows the size set in your browser, can be zoomed to 200% and also fits a screen 320 pixels wide.
  • If you have turned off animations in your system, the page does not scroll smoothly either.
