Serious Warnings and Precautions

Taking ACH-Pregabalin with opioid medicines, benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other central nervous system depressants (including street drugs) can cause severe drowsiness, decreased awareness, breathing problems, coma, and death.

What is ACH-Pregabalin used for?

ACH-Pregabalin is used in adults to treat pain caused by nerve damage due to:

  • Diabetes
  • Shingles
  • Spinal cord injury

ACH-Pregabalin is also used to treat pain associated with a condition called fibromyalgia (widespread pain).

How does ACH-Pregabalin work?

ACH-Pregabalin works by decreasing the number of nerve signals in your body. This helps to calm down oversensitive nerve cells, which helps to relieve pain.

What are the ingredients in ACH-Pregabalin?

Medicinal ingredients: Pregabalin

Non-medicinal ingredients: Capsule core: pregelatinised starch and purified talc. Capsule shells: gelatin, sodium lauryl sulphate and titanium dioxide. In addition, the orange/red capsules shells contain red iron oxide.

The markings on the capsules are in black ink, which contains black iron oxide, butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac, and strong ammonia solution.

ACH-Pregabalin comes in the following dosage forms:

Capsules: 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg or 300 mg

Do not use ACH-Pregabalin if:

  • You are allergic to pregabalin, or any other ingredient in ACH-Pregabalin.

  • have any kidney problems.
  • have any breathing problems or respiratory disease.
  • are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or think you might be pregnant.
  • are breastfeeding. ACH-Pregabalin passes into breast milk and it is not known if it can harm your baby. You and your healthcare provider should discuss whether you should take ACH-Pregabalin or breast-feed, but you should not do both.
  • have ever had an allergic reaction to any other drug.
