Patient Medication Information: uses, side effects, how to take - Idvynso

What IDVYNSO® is used for:

IDVYNSO® is used to treat adults living with HIV to replace their current HIV-1.

HIV-1 is the virus that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

How IDVYNSO® works:

IDVYNSO® contains two medications, doravirine and islatravir. These medicines work together to reduce the amount of HIV-1 in your body and keep it at a low level.

This helps maintain the number of CD4+ T-cell count in your blood. CD4+ T-cells are a type of white blood cells that are important in helping your body to fight infection.

IDVYNSO® does not cure HIV infection.

The ingredients in IDVYNSO® are:

Medicinal ingredients: doravirine and islatravir.

Non-medicinal ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose acetate succinate, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and microcrystalline cellulose. The film coating material contains the following inactive ingredients: calcium carbonate, ferric oxide, ferrosoferric oxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, triacetin. The coated tablets are polished with carnauba wax.

IDVYNSO® comes in the following dosage form:

IDVYNSO® is available as a pink, oval-shaped, film-coated tablet, and is debossed with 772 on one side and plain on the other side. Each tablet contains 100 mg of doravirine and 0.25 mg of islatravir.
