Patient Medication Information: uses, side effects, how to take - Motrin Platinum Muscle & Body

What is MOTRIN® Platinum Muscle & Body used for?

  • For effective relief of pain associated with muscle spasm such as back pain, tense neck muscles, strains and sprains

How does MOTRIN® Platinum Muscle & Body work?

Ibuprofen reduces pain, fever and inflammation. Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant. Ibuprofen is a member of a class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs work within the body by decreasing the production of substances, called prostaglandins which are involved in the development of pain and inflammation. Methocarbamol is thought to act on the central nervous system.

What are the ingredients in MOTRIN® Platinum Muscle & Body?

Medicinal ingredients: Ibuprofen and methocarbamol.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, FD&C yellow no. 6, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, triacetin.
